At the end of summer each year, our church holds a lakeside baptism. It's a wonderful time of fellowship as we gather together for a church picnic. Then around dusk we all head down to the edge of the lake to witness those who have realized the Lord is calling them to be baptized. This year our sweet baby girl was one of those people!
Kayleen and I were at the grocery store picking up lunch after church when she turned to me and said, "Mom, I think I'd like to be baptized at the church picnic tonight." I was a bit floored. I have been waiting for her to feel this way, but always just waited for her heart to be touched in a way only God knows how to do. When we got home Kayleen told Jeremy and they discussed what it meant to be baptized and that night she was baptized. What an exciting time in her life and with her growing relationship with God.
Here are a few pictures of the baptism. It was held at Lake Sammamish State Park on a beautiful sunny evening. The water was so warm! The man to the left of Kayleen is our pastor Glen Salzman.
Oh yes, don't mind the photo processing, it's icky. I don't have Photoshop at the moment and the sun was behind a cloud when I was taking photos...dah!

What an amazing time in Kayleen's life! She is an inspiration. That last picture is so sweet, that must have made Kayleen feel extra safe that Jeremy got to help :)
