A few weeks ago Ethan started his second year of full-tackle football. Two hour practices 5 days a week….yep. Kayleen has also started soccer so summer seems over for the most part. Now I’m back to being a taxi. Oh well, I enjoy watching the kids sports and they will have lasting memories as adults, so I’m very happy to do it. Here are a few pictures of a scrimmage Ethan had last week.
All of the Jr. Wildcat Football teams practice at Centennial Fields in Snoqualmie. We have a gorgeous backdrop for practices. Every night we get to see the sun set. The colors that blanket Mt. Si are spectacular! In the large field behind those evergreens to the right, there is a huge herd of elk. It’s amazing how close they get to the fence sometimes. Driving to and from practice is such a treat!
Whoops, the boys weren’t listening so they had to drop and give’em 20. ;-) That’s awesome!
Ethan is in the middle with the green tape on his helmet. The only way to tell which kid is yours is to have some unique marking on the helmet or some bright undershirt/sock, or else they all look the same out on the field.
Huddle.
Again, such a pretty setting.
Blocking (E is on the right).
The younger siblings keep themselves occupied with a “Wipe Out” sort of obstacle course – using the blocking gear when it’s not in use.
Here’s Alex in mid-flight.
