My “Not So Little Anymore” Iron Chef

Kayleen has really taken to cooking lately.  With it being Spring Break, she’s really going to town.

She cooked this meal all by herself.  I was instructed to stay in my office.  The result was very good!

Today is the second day of our week “Spring Break” from school.  Kayleen is cooking up a storm.

Chocolate Chip Cookies, with Andes bits of peppermint candy instead of chocolate chips.

A little funny for ya…  Kayleen came to tell me her cookies “failed” (thanks internet generation).  She said they had been in the oven for 30 min.  Oh the joys of a double oven.  She heated the bottom oven, but put the cookies in the top oven.  Winking smile

Oh, and if you are wondering why she has a gigantic shirt on…she got it at last summer’s day camp.  It was only $3 and there were no other sizes.  I think it’s an adult 3x.  Winking smile

Now to work off those extra pounds.  The kids found a belly dancing workout video On Demand.  Here is how I found them (of course Ethan wanted nothing to do with dressing like this).

And the pup is still a pup.  Here’s how he “owns” his toys.  The “Death Roll” over his hair brush.

Still love the playful “puppy” play stance…

Trying to teach him how to “dance”…all he wants is to chew on his brush.

He likes to rest his head on my leg when I’m on the computer.

Day 3 of Spring Break….a trip to Crystal Mountain to ski the steeps.  That sounds cool, but I probably won’t be skiing any steeps.  ha!  The kids and I have never been there.  Can’t wait for a new ski experience.  Can’t wait to blog about our adventure!

Way to go Kayleen! Looks great, and it's so nice to have your kids cook :). Mine beg to, though recipes are not interesting, it's all about improv baking and soups. Douglas is getting better at the soup thing, and several times they've turned out remarkable edible mini cakes! It took a few tries before I could convince Fynn that baking soda was not a main ingredient ... :). Enjoy!
